Scriptura superior.
|
Majuscule (Ogivale inclinata); Majuscule (Biblica).
| Provenance: Sinai.
Gospels and Epistles (Scriptura superior), Psalms (Scriptura inferior).
| Defective at the beginning (first folios of the first quire) and the end. The manuscript appears to have been written on older palimpsest parchments. The scriptura inferior runs parallel to the superior. Some folios are upside down. Starting from f. 44v, there are notes in Arabic with some glosses in Greek written in an informal way. The quires are indicated with a cross in the upper margin. Crosses in a similar shape are used to indicate the beginning of a new pericope. The title of the pericopes is written in lighter ink.
