| Provenance: Damascus. The original is lost, but a set of two photographs of this fragment has been preserved in Berlin, Staatsbibliothek, Cod. Or. Sim. 6, ff. 31–32.
Psalms in Greek and Arabic (transliterated into Greek).
| The “Violet Fragment” originates from a bilingual Psalter in Greek and Arabic. Presented in two columns, it features Ps 77:20–31 and 51–61 with the Greek text in the left column and Arabic transliterated using Greek letters in the right column. The text is presented in stichoi with the commencement of each stichos marked in ekthesis. The orthography is consistent throughout. The fragment showcases the following nomina sacra: θ̅ς̅, κ̅ς̅, ι̅η̅λ̅, α̅ν̅ο̅ς̅, ο̅υ̅ν̅ο̅ς̅, σ̅ρ̅ι̅ο̅ν̅. Comprised of a bifolium, this fragment appears to have been repurposed as a book binding.
