Practical Information for Speakers and Chairs
Registration
All speakers and chairs are kindly asked to register for the conference via the online registration form.
Registration is open from 17 January 2026 until 1 March 2026. The registration form is available here:

Travel Expenses
We are pleased to confirm that travel expenses for all speakers will be covered by the Göttingen Academy of Sciences and Humanities in Lower Saxony. Please note the following conditions:
- Speakers are kindly requested to organise and book their own travel.
- Reimbursement will be made retrospectively.
- Reimbursable travel includes:
- Flights in economy class
- Rail travel in second class
Accommodation
Accommodation has been reserved for all speakers at the Eden Hotel, Göttingen.
- Check-in: Wednesday, 2 September 2026 (arrival day)
- Check-out: Saturday, 5 September 2026 (departure day)
- Included: Comprehensive breakfast buffet

Conference Schedule and Venue
The conference will begin on Wednesday, 2 September 2026, with sessions starting at 16:30. At 18:30, the conference will formally open with Welcome Addresses and the Opening Keynote Lecture by Prof. Reinhard G. Kratz in the Great Hall (Große Aula) at Wilhelmsplatz, Göttingen.
The main conference sessions will take place at the Historische Sternwarte, Göttingen.

Catering and Conference Fee
Full catering will be provided throughout the conference days. In addition, a conference dinner will take place at Gasthaus Lockemann. Due to German funding regulations, the full catering costs cannot be covered entirely from project funds. We therefore kindly ask each speaker to contribute a conference fee of EUR 150, payable by the participant, to cover part of the catering expenses.
We very much appreciate your understanding in this matter. In return, catering will be provided comprehensively throughout the conference.
