Psalms and Odes.
| The manuscript contains half of the verses in each Psalm and Ode. According to Rahlfs and Parpulov, it was used for antiphonal chanting during the liturgy. Rahlfs compares the manuscripts to the Syrian choral manuscripts. Cf. cod. Athos, Lavra 446 (mentioned by Rahlfs) and cod. Sinait. gr. 131 (mentioned by Galavaris). According to Parpulov, the Sinaitic fragment NE X 121 derives from the companion volume (the first one) of the cod. Sinait. gr. 94. Cf. the enlarged Alpha found in the flyleaf of the fragment, which refers to the number of the volume.
