Psalms and Odes (illuminated). | This is the so-called “Theodore Psalter”, one of the most beautiful Byzantine manuscripts, which belongs to the group of the illuminated Psalters known as “marginal Psalters”. It consists of numerous marginal illustrations, which depict David, Moses, Christ, the Holy Mary, prophets, saints, biblical scenes, religious symbols, icons and several scenes reflecting the period of Iconoclasm. | Text-type: L.
