Psalms and Odes (illuminated). | Cutler and Parpulov date the manuscript to the 13th century, whereas Papadopoulos-Kerameus and Rahlfs date it to the 12th century. Parpulov (2014: 142), identified the fragment Saint Petersburg, National Library of Russia 273 as a part of the manuscript Panagiou Taphou 51 and Cutler (1984: 42) identified the fragment Saint Petersburg, National Library of Russia 274 as a part of the same manuscript. The original position of the leaf (Petrop. gr. 274) is unknown. The leaf was cut by Porphyrius Uspensky in the nineteenth century. The numbers, the titles and the initials of each psalm are written in golden ink. Several of the initials consist of zoomorphic figures and depict birds, hares, foxes and other animals. There are decorated headpieces to Ps 1 (f. 1r), Ps 50 (f. 109r), Ps 77 (f. 170r) and to Ode 1 (f. 322r). | Text-type: L.
