Greek Psalter. | The original manuscript had lost some leaves, eight of which were replaced in the 14th century by using palimpsest folia from a liturgical scroll dated to the 11th century and containing some fragments of the Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom (cf. Crisci, 1990: 137-139). These eight leaves are no longer found in the Psalter (A. γ. VIII) but are nowadays preserved in the Library of Grottaferrata, folder n. 196, as unbound bifolia with the Shelf mark Γ. β. XLI (cf. Rocchi, 1883: 284-285; Lucà, 2003: 170-171 and note n. 91; Crisci, 1990: 33-34. See also the note in Latin on the bottom margin of f. 155v). The indication of the original quires is still visible: ⟨α´- ε´⟩, ς΄- κα΄. Τhe Psalms are divided into καθίσματα and δόξαι.Text-type: L.
